North Carolina Longleaf Complete Grant

Are you an adult learner who previously started a college degree, certificate or diploma, but had to drop out or were unable to complete your program? Get money to help you finish your degree with the NC Longleaf Complete Grant.

The NC Longleaf Complete Grant is designed to help “near-completers” — those who have finished at least 30 credit hours in their program of study — pay for classes needed to complete that program. The amount you may be awarded ranges from $500 to $1,300 based on the number of credit hours you take, and can be combined with other financial aid.

Eligibility Criteria for NC Longleaf Complete Grant

  • Complete a and ensure official transcripts are on file; contact Admissions for more information by calling 919- 536-7214 or emailing admissions@durhamtech.edu.
  • Have a minimum of a cumulative 2.0 GPA to be considered for the North Carolina Longleaf Complete Grant and meet the Federal Pell Grant satisfactory academic progress requirements.
  • Be a North Carolina resident as determined by the .
  • Have completed at least 50% of semester credit hours for an Associate degree program.
    (Note: Remedial/developmental semester credit hours do not count)
  • Have not previously completed a postsecondary degree.
     

How to get started

  • Complete an online application to ʿⱦapp and complete residency determination through the North Carolina .
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The ʿⱦapp school code is 005448.
  • There is not a separate Longleaf Complete Grant application, as consideration for funding is automatic once the FAFSA is completed. Eligible students will be notified of grant awards from ʿⱦapp’s Financial Aid Office.
